Hua Hin, Thailand

We were very kindly offered a place to stay for a week in Hua Hin, a beach resort city just south of Bangkok. The timing was perfect - a few days to relax just before our volunteering starts.

So we are having a holiday from our holiday! And that includes not writing a big blog post on our time in Hua Hin (besides, swimming and sleeping in don’t make for compelling reading!)

Tomorrow we fly to Mae Sot and then head straight up to the Karen village which will be our home for the next 10 weeks or so. It may be a while until our next post, as we work to find our feet as teachers. We are facing our volunteering placement with what is hopefully the right mix of excitement and trepidation! Wish us luck for taking on the learning curve - and we hope you are enjoying the new challenges of 2013 too.
